CBJ Seawalk, Phase 2

Project:  CBJ Seawalk - Bridge to Gold Creek, Phase 2

Location:  W 8th Street, Juneau, AK

Owner:  City & Borough of Juneau

Project Manager:  Gerald Olson & Chad Strong

Scope of Work: This Project consists of an extension of the downtown Juneau Seawalk from the the Bridge Park to Gold Creek.  This phase of the seawalk includes about 1,000 feet of pile-supported walkway, complete with guardrails, lighting and site furnishings.  The seawalk structure is divided into two segments - one from Bridge Park to an intertidal island, and another from the intertidal island to the Egan Drive embankment near Gold Creek. An enlarged deck area and intertidal access near the corner of the ADF&G headquarters will be featured as well as an overlook at Gold Creek.

CBJ Capital Transit Facility Addition & Renovation

Project Name:  CBJ Capital Transit Facility Addition & Renovation

Location: Bentwood Place, Juneau, AK

Owner:  City & Borough of Juneau

Project Managers: Gerald Olson & Chad Strong

 

Scope of Work:  This Project consists of an addition to the existing Capital Transit Facility as well as some renovations to the existing building.  Alaska Commercial Contractors are the general contractor for the project and NPE was brought in as a subcontractor to supply and install the metal building addition as well as to supply and install the new siding that will replace the old at the existing building.

CBJ Parks Restroom & Concessions Improvements

Project Name:  CBJ Parks Restroom & Concessions Improvements

Location: Dimond & Melvin Parks, Riverside Drive, Juneau, AK

Owner:  City & Borough of Juneau

Project Managers: Paul Brooks & Chad Strong

 

Scope of Work:  This Project consists of an 884 SF restroom and concession facility to be constructed at Dimond Park and a 356 SF concession addition will be constructed adjacent to the existing restrooms at Melvin Park. The site construction includes but is not limited to: concrete foundations, structural steel, CMU masonry walls, metal roofing, metal siding, metal flashing, HM doors and frames, door hardware, wood framing, heavy timber framing, waterproofing, gypsum wall board, painting, stainless steel countertops & overhead coiling doors, signage, fixed furnishings, plumbing systems, ventilation systems, heating, electrical power, lighting, and special electrical systems.

UAS Main Entrance Sign

Project Name:  UAS Main Entrance Sign

Location: Back Loop Rd & Auke Lake Way, Juneau, AK

Owner:  University of Alaska Southeast

Project Managers: Gerald Olson & Chad Strong

 

Scope of Work:  Install two UAS entrance signs mounted on a 30 foot long concrete and stone faced foundations. The work includes removal of trees and surface organics, importing of fill, concrete sidewalks, curb & gutter, reinforced concrete sign foundation, fractured stone facing, installing prefabricated signs, sign lettering and sign illumination.

Seadrome Building Exterior Renovations

Project Name:  Seadrome Building Exterior Renovations

Location: Egan Drive, Juneau, AK

Owner:  Goldbelt, Inc.

Project Managers: Gerald Olson & Chad Strong

 

Scope of Work:  This Project consists of an exterior renovation to the water side of Goldbelt's Seadrome Building located in downtown Juneau.  Work will consist of removal of the existing siding and windows on the water side of the building and replacement with new. Instead of going back in with wood siding, the owners opted for updating the waterside and going with the installation of two types of metal siding.  All new vinyl windows will also compliment the new siding as will a few new exterior doors.
