Alaskan Brewery Expansion

Project:  Alaskan Brewery Expansion

Location:  Shaune Drive, Juneau, AK

Owner:  Alaskan Brewing Company

Scope of Work:  Vacating of existing city street, sitework to bring fill in between two existing brewing company buildings, foundation work for new building that will connect the two existing buildings to the newly constructed building.  Erection of new steel building complete with connecting structures and interior finishes to provide seven new loading/shipping bays for to support expanded operations.

Anderson Building Remodel

The Anderson Building joins one of the few North Pacific Marine Laboratories. It provides classrooms, teaching labs, and research labs for faculty and students in the UAS biology and marine biology programs.  North Pacific Erectors, as the general contractor, upgraded or replaced major building components including heating and ventilating equipment and controls, the roof membrane and insulation, new toilet rooms, interior finishes, elevator replacement, classroom and laboratory casework and the emergency generator. Interior space is reconfigured to improve effectiveness of the teaching and research areas.

Auke Bay Fire Station Exterior Upgrades

Project Information:
Name: Auke Bay Fire Station Exterior Upgrades
Location: 11900 Glacier Highway, Juneau Alaska
Owner: City & Borough of Juneau
Project Manager: Chad Strong
Scope of Work: Removal of existing plywood siding, installation of new exterior grade plywood, installation of metal wall panels, associated building wrap and furring. A good portion of the exterior will get a brick wainscot. Existing exterior metal doors and operable windows will be removed and replaced with new insulated metal doors and vinyl windows. Electrical work includes replacement of exterior light fixtures and the installation of new CT enclosure and meter base. The work also includes removal of existing ballasted membrane roof, insulation layers and removal of original roof, down to structural plywood decking. A new adhered membrane roof, insulation and metal flashing and accessories will be installed. Two small wood-framed exterior canopies over man doors will be constructed. The existing hose tower exterior upgrades include a new standing seam metal roof with metal wall panel assemblies as well.

Scope of Work: Construct a shift housing facility for the clients in order to provide additional housing for miner's to stay at during their shifts at the mine site.  To accomplish the work, piling will be driven to accommodate newly constructed modular building units; then the units will be set with NPE's crane, connecting the units as they go, then completing the installation by roofing over the units, performing all finish work on the inside and lastly constructing a series of stairs connecting this new facility to the mine's existing support facilities.

The 920 Dry Addition

Location:  Elevation 920, Admiralty Island, Alaska

Owner:  Hecla Greens Creek Mining Company

Scope of Work:  Construct an addition to the client's existing steel building in order to provide additional showers, locker rooms and locker basket storage for the miner’s work clothing.  Miners and those associated with the industry commonly refer to these facilities as to the “Dry Room”, hence the name of this project being “The 920 Dry Addition”.  This addition also included provisions for an expanded ambulance bay and the addition of a welding bay.  Administrative offices were also added on the second floor of this addition to afford the client a more centralized communications system near the work zone for its mine manager and other vital personnel.
